Vincent van Gogh is generally considered one of the greatest Dutch painters; he powerfully influenced the current of Expressionism in modern art. His work, all of it produced during a period of only 10 years, hauntingly conveys through its striking colour, coarse brushwork, and contoured forms the anguish of a mental illness that sadly resulted in suicide.

This umbrella is softer than many of his other paintings, with soft yellows and greens.   The umbrellas has virtually unbreakable fibreglass ribs and is push-button automatic opening. The frame, handle, ferrule and tips are wood, making this a very sophisticated item.
